Those of you  who have been to our shows can well appreciate the beauty of Hussey Field. The Field was left by our long time Vet, Dr. Eugene Hussey to the town with the proviso that it be reserved for our Club’s shows each year.   September 2011 however,  what had not happened in 100 years happened and Hurricane Irene made that quiet Saco River that the dogs like to go swim in rise and completely flood the field .  When the waters receeded it was covered in silt, sand, logs and debris: unable to be used and actually unsafe.  No vehicles, trailers could come on the field.  After much discussion with AKC and with no other site available , we were forced to say we cannot this year. 

We regretted having to cancel and contacting all of those who had entered did not quite go off as we had planned .  All of the efforts of club members and our many friends  literally went  "down the drain".

But we were not down for the count.; we treaded water   We are back on the same site that so many of you enjoy and we hope our friends come back  also  this year.  We still have the Puppy Gala, Obedience and Rally.  This wil be our 28th year on the field.   Come enjoy our comeback from the flood waters.
