Class Description
Beginner Obedience: This beginner six-week course is for dogs without previous training. Immunizations must be current. Each class is one hour long. Owners will be taught teaching methods which they can use to train their dogs to a variety of commands. Commands they will teach their dog in class include sit, down, stand, sit-stay, down-stay, stand-stay, stand and sit for exam, re-call, heel, and return to heel. Training method employed is traditional leash and training collar with positive enforcement. Clicker training is offered from time to time. Special emphasis is given to teaching proper dog/owner interactions that improve the dog’s ability to become a reliable and happy pet and the owners ability to control and work with the dog in public or in dog show.Advanced Obedience: a continuation of the basic obedience class, refining skills learned, sometimes rally
techniques are implemented to challenge your dog as well.

Rally Obedience: Rally-O is an AKC competitive event. It is an obedience event designed to prepare teams for the Obedience ring. Rally is fun and exciting. It is a wonderful way to compete or just practice with your dog. Beginner Rally-O classes are offered for 4 weeks. Participants will learn the principles of Rally-O and will practice general obedience skills, specific Rally-O skills, and will work on a Rally-O course. Prerequisite - Beginner Obedience.
